Our First Day in Bangkok

We made it to Bangkok!! After 24 hours of travelling, watching 10 onflight movies, sitting next to a monk, and wondering all over the HongKong airport.

Amy and Emily at our first mission group meeting and devotion. We got to know the rest of our 15 team members and read Matthew 9:35-38 to get our trip started off.

The first "small" Buddhist temple that we visited. We were invited to come speak with the head monk who had been there for 60 years. He welcomed us and gave us souvenirs.

What a beautiful temple!! The monks were very welcoming of all of us and even opened up the temple for us to explore.

The Thai snacks and fruit that were provided for us after we taught English at the center.

Inside the Buddhist temple. It was a platform for the monks to do their chants and meditation.
Amy and I in front of the Thai Lutheran Church and English Center. We got to lead a game of BINGO and sing some English songs with 20 Thai kiddos. Good times!

Here is the Ehlers  family with 2 women in the Lutheran Ministry team in Bangkok Thailand. They knew both of these ladies from when they lived in Bangkok! It was wonderful to see everyone again.
We had a little layover in Hong Kong for 3 and a half hours! We got some coffee and walked all over the airport to tire ourselves out.
